Abby’s Aunt Grace leaves her a building and enough money to make it into the business she has always dreamed of owning: a wedding cake bakery. With handsome Dane to help her renovate it, and the support of her friends and family, Abby soon has a wonderful bakery ready to open.

There’s something special about the bakery, though: customers get to pay whatever they think the cakes are worth. This idea of Abby’s turns out to appeal not only to customers, but also to the media. Before the year is out, Abby’s a celebrity and her cakes are commanding thousands of dollars.

There’s something special about Dane, too. He shares Abby’s faith (both are LDS) and her values, and she finds herself more and more attracted to him. Romance doesn’t go as smoothly for Abby as business, though — especially when it begins to look as though she’ll have to choose between the two.

This is a sweet story with likable characters and lots of recipes. The characters turn to God to help them with their decisions, and there are some points that might make you think about your own life, as Abby learns what the things in her own life are worth.
