Book Title: Written in Ink
Book Author: Sara Davison
What do you like about this book:
Written in Ink is a continuation of Lost Down Deep. It focuses on two new main characters, but the characters the reader got to know and love I the first book are also included in this story.
We learned that Cash and his long time girlfriend, Renee, were having problems in Lost Down Deep. In this book we learn the issues surrounding their relationship problems and we get the opportunity to watch them navigate through some very treacherous waters. I don’t want to give away any spoilers in my review, so I will just say that their issues touch on a very controversial, and often very deeply personal, subject.
As with the first book in this series, the characters portrayed in this book are far from being perfect. They each have some fairly hefty flaws. I love the way the author shows the struggles to overcome these flaws and the subsequent growth each character experiences.
I found the religious overtones of this book to be a bit heavier than in the first. I also found the suspense in this book much more subtle. That being said, it is a great book and well worth the readers time investment.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good suspenseful romance. Though it is free from profanity and sex scenes, it does deal with some definitely adult situations, so I can not recommend it for the young reader.
