There is a spiritual war going on, and God has given women a key position on the battlefront. Women everywhere face battles that threaten to overwhelm them and those they love: A son’s drug addiction. A daughter’s abortion. A husband’s failed business. A friend’s adulterous affair. Depression. Fear. Illness. A Woman’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare offers biblical and practical steps any woman can follow to take her place in battle with confidence, to overcome the forces of evil in the power and authority of the risen Christ. Readers will learn how to break cycles of bondage in their families, to make their homes places of refuge from spiritual attack, and to fight for the health of their marriages, all through the power of prayer. Women have a special calling in the ongoing war, and A Woman’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare is the field guide for every wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who is ready to take up her position on the front lines.

Summary
A Woman's Guide to Spiritual Warfare: How to Protect Your Home, Family and Friends from Spiritual Darkness
by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock. This is a revised and updated edition of a book that was published in 1991 and 2010.
The authors include biblical guidelines, inspiring stories, practical steps and prayers. I found the bullet points and simple prayers to be most helpful. The inspiring stories include biblical stories and stories from current day. Each chapter has a supporting prayer at the end.
There is a section devoted to the armor of God and they take you through each piece.
I was intrigued by the examples of a prayer walk. Women would walk around their neighborhoods or specific areas they wanted to pray for. There was a section on fasting and praying. A section of praying for our nation which is more relevant today than ever. I am a firm believer in praying scripture and the authors include a multitude of them throughout the book. They discuss controversial topics such as generational curses and can a Christian be possessed by a demon.
The book has an appendix that lists Scripture verses relevant to specific issues and a section for Prayers and Declarations based on scripture.
