Summary
Aspiring attorney Parker House's rising career makes a significant change in direction, when on a hunch, he insists that his employer seat a particular young woman on a jury. Layla Donovan's ability to simplify the case for her fellow jurors does prove to be a deciding factor, and Parker's sound advice catches the attention of an infamous attorney. When Parker meets the lovely Layla at a friend's wedding, she is deep into her role as a professional photographer, allowing Parker's interest to take a more personal turn, but their journey will not be smooth.
Frank House, now in his sunset years, rarely mentions his past while conversing with his grandson, Parker. Deserting the German army after the untimely death of his family, he escaped to Switzerland and later immigrated to the United States; where he is now living a quiet, unassuming life on the North Carolina coast as a retired fisherman. His uncanny ability to discern future events, brought "Franz Haus" great notoriety among German generals, but the resulting collateral damage has hounded Frank House for decades.
Unfortunately for Frank and Parker, there are those who have not forgotten "The Arayan Eagle", and Frank is certain that his grandson has inherited his special gift. Will the Giver of all good gifts make His Presence known in time to redeem Frank's past, preserve Parker's future and free Layla from her fears?
Robert Whitlow has not only written an outstanding novel, he has penned a story with deep spiritual repercussions for those willing to listen. It was a pleasure to receive a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.
