Summary
The Murder List by Hank Philip Ryan will appeal to fans of Mary Higgins Clark. From the opening pages you are trying to figure out the underlying motives of everyone.
Rachel is the main character. She is a student at Harvard entering an internship with the DA. This would not be a big deal except her husband Jack, is a powerful defense attorney. He and the DA are arch enemies.
The story had my head all over the place trying to figure out how it was going to end. I was trying to understand her relationship with her husband Jack.
The book switches from current time to when she worked for a Senator. You could definitely see the difference in her naive personality to her more deliberate one now.
Maggie is currently teaching some of the law students and Rachel happens to be one of them. You are trying to figure out how she ended up in her class. And does Maggie cross the line in her cases and what are her motives.
I enjoyed how she and Jack met. The storyline was original and kept me on my toes. The Murder List by Hank Philip Ryan is a fascinating mystery.
