What do you like about this book:
Pat is the head Law Librarian for the county. She is very good at her job and is well respected by the local attorneys. She is single and has a best friend, Syda, who is determined to help find her just the right man. For her birthday, Pat received a surprise she wasn’t expecting. The County needed to cut expenses and as a result, she was given a severance package from her much loved job. To help cheer her up, Syda invites her to attend a glass class with her. There, they both were surprised to witness the death of the instructor. It turns out his death was not from natural causes. Local attorney, and Pat’s crush, Mark hires Pat to investigate the murder to help prove his client’s innocence. During the investigation Pat meets Tim, a local Deputy. He asks her out and they discover they like each other’s company. Could he be the one?
This book is a great read if you like mystery and romance. I particularly enjoyed the scenes with Pat’s animals. It made me want a Dalmatian just like Dot. The book is clean with no foul language and no sex scenes. There is quite a bit of violence, but you kind of expect that in a murder mystery. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery.
