Book Review: The Christmas Book Flood by Roseanna M. White
The Christmas Book Flood was such a heartwarming and delightful read. I am a huge fan of Roseanna M. White, and once again, she did not disappoint. I’m not quite sure how she manages to completely pull me into a story, even when there isn’t a mystery to solve!
Set in Iceland in 1944, this Christmas novella introduced me to Icelandic holiday traditions, including the wonderful tradition of giving books at Christmas. As a book lover, how could I not adore a story centered around Christmas and books? 😊 I especially enjoyed how White incorporated the traditions and setting so naturally into the story.
Tatiana and Anders were an absolutely charming couple. They are longtime friends who work together at her uncle’s publishing house, giving us a sweet friends-to-lovers romance that felt warm and genuine. Tatiana’s young niece was also a wonderful addition and brought even more heart to the story.
One of the things I love most about Roseanna White’s writing is the depth she brings to her characters and their relationships. I was impressed that she managed to deliver that same emotional richness in a novella without making the story feel rushed.
The Christmas Book Flood is a beautiful, cozy Christmas story filled with romance, family, history, and, of course, books. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily recommend it, especially to fellow book lovers.
