Summary
Overall We met Aspen and Talon in ‘Trinity’ as members of A Breed Apart Ranch. This is their story. Aspen’s twin brother has been missing for 2 years. His
combat tracking military dog, Talon is experiencing PSTD and is their only hope of finding Austin. Military Intelligence Operative Dane (Cardinal) Markoski, super spy
and tortured soul thinks he saw Austin. Dane is determined to find Austin but he needs Talon to do so. And the only way to Talon is through Aspen; who adopted him after her brother went MIA. Aspen, Talon, Dane and Timbrel head to Africa to find Austin. Can Talon survive another mission? From the first chapter I was hooked, my heart was beating fast, I felt myself drawn into the story and finished it in one day. The author throws in some humor to break the tension. You learn about Dane and his past during flashbacks. I knew Kaylan was going to be important in understanding Dane but I didn’t realize how important to the story she would be. Aspen is your girl next door who
enjoys boxing, and is accused of being too optimistic. You will be moved as Talon faces his fears and tries to do what he was trained to do; track. If you have been following the series you will be pleased to see appearances by Heath and explosive scenes with Candyman and Timbrel. I cannot wait for their story in Beowolf. A couple of my favorite scenes were “At a moment like this in the movies, the hero would tug out a photograph, stare at it longingly, stuff it back in his pocket, then move on forcefully. He didn’t have a photograph.” “Whoa! Thank You, God!” One of the men with a sandy blond beard and Oakleys clapped a hand over his chest. “Be still my
beating heart!” Timbrel groaned. “not you again.” “Candyman at your service.” Ronie Kendig hit another one out of the park. Ronie has once again created a series that keeps you on the edge of your seat rooting for our heroes both human and canine throughout the entire ride.
Violence I didn't find the violence as intense as Trinity. There is military action
