Summary
Strand of Deception is probably one of THE most enjoyable books I have! The heroine, Maddie is one of my all-time favorite characters mostly because of her love of Elvis which I just happen to share with her. Throughout the book she sings Elvis songs to calm herself. For an Elvis fan this is a must read! I read the book in one day The opening prologue grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. Maddie’s interactions with Nick are priceless. They have great chemistry. Nick is the FBI Special Agent in Charge. Maddie is a forensic expert working the case. One of my favorite lines is “He makes me stupid”. His apology was what every girl dreams to receive and few of us actually do. One of my favorite scenes is between Nick and her brother, Rafe. To add to the tense situation, Nick used to be Rafe’s supervisor. There are several mysteries and unsolved cases in the book but they are never confusing. They all fit well into the story. There are several suspects to keep you guessing. A Senator’s daughter has been killed and they are trying to decide if they have a serial killer. Strand of Deception is part of the Justice Seekers series however it can stand on its own. I would recommend reading them in order to see the character development and because they are fabulous reads.
Violence-The violence is in the past but you do understand what happened to her.
