Summary
Stone Cold Christmas was my first book by Liz Bradford—whom I met at a reader conference this fall—and it was a wonderful introduction to her writing. The story offers a well-crafted blend of mystery and romance set in a small Michigan town that’s definitely colder than I could ever imagine living in!
Noelle, a deputy in her hometown, and Jack, the newly hired deputy with a compelling backstory of his own, make a believable and engaging pair. Both characters are single parents, and I appreciated how authentically the author handled their family dynamics as their relationship developed.
The book also features fun side characters and plenty of suspects that kept the mystery lively and entertaining. I will definitely be picking up more of Liz Bradford’s books!
