Summary
Song of the Rockies is book two in the Queen of the Rockies series. I am enjoying these books that are teaching me more about Montana through a sweet story.
Since book one I am enamored with the Newsies who are orphans that arrived on the Orphan Train. This was the last stop and are the boys that were not adopted along the way. In this story Evan is looking for his lost son and Mirielle has the idea that the newsies can help him find his son. A secondary story is how Mirielle is trying to get prominent people in the town to sponsor each of the boys. I didnt realize how many millionaires were in Montana from the mining.
I highly recommend reading the authors notes in the back of the book. It really makes the story come to life. She also adds addition features like the best time to visit Montana.
I highly recommend this series. The author has a talent for weaving facts about Montana and this era into a beautiful fiction story.
