Book Title: Simply West of Heaven
Book Author: Monique Buchegar
What do you like about this book:
Ginnie and Tillie are still trying to persuade Todd, Ginnie’s dad, to propose to Amanda, Tillie’s mom. Neither adult seems to be in a rush, but of course they have only been dating a few weeks. Being best friends is cool, but being sisters is “awesome sauce”. When Ginnie finds her Mom’s journals, secrets from the past emerge to shake their world.
I rated this book as four stars instead of five because it ends in a cliffhanger and I despise cliffhangers. Otherwise, this book is a great read and very well written. The author does an excellent job depicting the emotions and struggles the West family endures at the hands of long past secret. Though this book is written for the middle school audience, readers of all ages will enjoy this clean and wholesome series.
