Summary
From: Carol Pennington
Book Title: Shaw Point
Book Author: Karen Lopez
What do you like about this book:
The author states this is her first book; it sure doesn’t read that way! Her descriptions are vivid and the characters have great depth. The story really came alive for me.
Set in the early 1900s, Shaw Point follows a young war widow and her companion turned friend from Roanoke to a farm her uncle willed to her. Arriving just before winter, their struggles were many, but God saw them through and surrounded them with good people they soon called friends.
This is a clean book and I recommend it to everyone.
