Finally Returned Home, Reef McKeena
Finds His Beloved Alaska Facing Its Greatest Threat
Growing up, goody-two-shoes Kirra Jacobs and troublemaker Reef McKenna were always at odds. Now, working together as search-and-rescue for Alaska’s arduous Iditarod race, a growing attraction seems to be forcing aside old arguments. Then Reef catches Kirra sneaking from camp in the middle of the night.
Kirra’s uncle, a musher in the race, has disappeared. Kirra and Reef quickly track the man, but what they discover is harrowing: Frank’s daughter has been kidnapped. Kirra and Reef, along with the entire McKenna family, are thrown into a race to stop a shadowy villain who is not only threatening a girl’s life–but appears willing to unleash one of the largest disasters Alaska has ever seen.

Summary
Overall Sabotaged by Dani Pettrey is book five and the final book in the Alaskan series. I am very sad to see it end. The author does an amazing job of capturing your attention and the book is halfway over before you realize it. If you've been following the series you may have wondered, like I did, how much I was going to like Reef
as the main character. You will be thrilled to know that he has been growing in each book and was a great male lead in Sabotaged. In the previous books he's been the undependable one. Kirra intrigued me from book four and I was excited to see her teamed up with Reef. They made a great couple. As with the other books the author balances a lot of action and adventure with relationship development. Kirra’s back story was heartbreaking; even more so because her family didn't support her. Kirra’s cousin has been kidnapped and her uncle is being blackmailed into helping some unsavoring characters. The Iditarod dogsled race is the backdrop for several of the scenes. The McKenna’s from the other books in the series have a secondary role which is exciting to see how they have continue to grow in their relationships. The epilogue was so
special and a great way to end the series. Sabotaged is a great book, although not my favorite because I still have a crush on Jake and was thrilled that he played a significant part in this story. I am anxiously waiting what Dani will write next. I would like to recommend a series with Jake and Kayden as the lead characters. ???? Dani remains one of my go to authors.
Violence I don't want to spoil anything but here is a little of the violence cousin is kidnapped, abductions, someone is shot,
