The long-lost prince finally makes his trek home only to be held captive when he reaches Dermot. Will the king persuade him to marry his daughter and forever change the course of his future?
Rian Barnali, Gilvary’s youngest prince, has not spoken to his family since he left the country ten years ago. He has made amends with God, and now it is time to reconnect with his family. He makes it as far as Dermot, where he is held captive by King Farris. The king has a plan for Rian, and he will do whatever it takes to ensure Rian marries his daughter.
Princess Adrika is little more than a token used to advance her father’s plans. Marrying Rian would place her under the rule of two stubborn men instead of one, but it may be a better alternative than marrying a stranger from her mother’s homeland—a place where women are of no consequence.
Whatever the choice, there will be a price to pay for all concerned.

Book Title: Restoring Dermot
Book Author: Andrea Boyd
What do you like about this book:
"Control over my life was what I thought I had gained by running away."
Heading back towards the kingdom that he had once deserted ten years earlier as a petulant teen, Gilvary's Prince Rian Barnali is detained and held captive by neighboring King Farris of Dermot. When his true identity is revealed, it becomes apparent that the aging king has determined to align their two territories using a precious commodity; his own daughter.
Feeling forced into a marriage with a handsome young prince who is a virtual stranger, Princess Adrika knows that the alternative would be much worse. Fortunately, Rian appears to be kind and insists upon sharing their eventual rule over her father's kingdom. He is a man of faith, having made some of the very same mistakes in his past as she has in hers. But will that be enough?
"Restoring Dermot" is a lovely conclusion to a trilogy of fantasy infused tales of heroic princes and the princesses who won their hearts. I won a copy of this book in a contest offered by the author, but the opinions stated are entirely my own.
