Book Title: Rescue Me: A Small Town Romance Book Book Author: Leah Busboom What do you like about this book:
Starr is fascinated by Disney Princesses. So much so that she has invested in professional costumes and performs as the princesses at themed parties. She even sings their songs! She meets Bryce when she is desperately trying to get to one of her gigs after her Jeep ran out of gas. She is dressed as Jasmine and is toting her other costumes behind her in a suitcase as she walks down a deserted road in the middle of farm land with no cell phone service. He comes to her rescue and despite his best efforts, they begin a relationship. Things are going well for them when she tells him she is returning to Illinois to help her dad out of a very rough financial situation. Will their relationship be able to survive this bump in the road?
Leah just keeps amazing me! Rescue Me is book of her small town romance series. Typically by the time I read the third or fourth book in a series I am done with it. Not so with this series. Just when I think Leah has exhausted all avenues with the characters, she surprises me. This may well be my favorite book in the series, and I have loved them all. Her writing style is superb. The stories are clean and she add just the right amount of humor. I lost it laughing with the scene of Starr getting into the truck in her Belle costume. Her characters are so real and so very likable. I can picture myself sitting with Bryce and Starr having a wonderful conversation over a cup of coffee. I always feel uplifted and happy after finishing one of Leah’s books. If you haven’t read this book already, you should! And if you have, perhaps you should read it again, it’s that good. Oh, and you might not want to start the book late in the day. I made that mistake and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it because I could put it down without knowing how it ended.
I highly recommend this book, al all the other books in this series, to anyone who enjoys a good clean romance.
