Jennings Offers Another Delightful Blend of History and Romance
Betsy Huckabee might be a small-town girl, but she has big-city dreams. Writing for her uncle’s newspaper will never lead to independence, and the bigger newspapers don’t seem interested in the Hart County news. Trying a new approach, Betsy pens a romanticized serial for the ladies’ pages, and the new deputy provides the perfect inspiration for her submissions. She’d be horrified if he read her breathless descriptions of him, but these articles are for a newspaper far away. No one in Pine Gap will ever know.
Deputy Joel Puckett didn’t want to leave Texas, but this job in tiny Pine Gap is his only shot at keeping his badge. With masked marauders riding every night, his skills and patience are tested, but even more challenging is the sassy journalist lady chasing him.

Summary
Book Title: For The Record
Book Author: Regina Jennigns
What do you like about this book:
"You are the most bothersome woman I've ever come across".
Not exactly the sort of "sweet nothings" that every young woman longs to hear, but Deputy Joel Puckett is being perfectly honest after sparring nose-to-nose with the curious, pesky, infuriating, and golden haired Betsy Huckabee. After all, he transferred to Missouri to apprehend criminals, not fend off women, and a lot of strange happenings are going on behind the masks in this small town.
Betsy Huckabee is a dreamer, itching to earn a living by writing newspaper columns, hopeful that she can live independently from her uncle and his growing family. When a bigger- than- life Texas deputy arrives on in Pine Gap, Betsy decides that he just might be able to provide her with the kind of story fodder that she needs to write a women's serial. There's only one slight problem, he doesn't want her hanging around. Evidently, the town of Pine Gap and their new deputy are both harboring secrets.
Enjoy this often light-hearted and decidedly open-hearted tale where love and loyalty are tested to their limits.
