Over time, the business of life creeps in and even the most deeply committed couples can feel like they’re living parallel lives rather than enjoying life together. Their once happily-ever-after can quickly turn into an endless grind of work, chores, errands and carpool. And the pull of social media becomes more compelling than engaging with one’s spouse. In this book, Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley offer practical ways to rekindle the passionate, intimate, heart-to-heart spark of connection between husbands and wives.

Summary
Reconnected- Moving from Roommates to Soulmates in Marriage
Reconnected by Greg and Erin Smalley is a life changing book for married couples. Haven't we all found ourselves at some point feeling like roommates. Sometimes we focus on the big things that we forget the small gestures that make a difference day in and day out.
They share 11 behaviors that they feel slowly take couples from soulmates to roommates. I truly believe that satan is out to destroy the family and this is where he starts.
We know these things but what a great reminder that we have to have energy and intention in marriage. “…Connection requires endurance. Passion requires energy. Intimacy requires attentiveness…. Grace requires persistence. Forgiveness requires strength….
What I really liked about the book was their practical advice. They include questions you can ask your spouse.
I highly recommend the book. Well worth the time and money to initiate changes in your marriage for the better. The underlying connection I saw was that we have to talk about whatever it is. The book may help you understand the issue, then dig to the root and then talk about it.
Content- they have a chapter dedicated to sex. Nothing explicit but the topic is covered from a mental perspective and how to improve it and how to recognize and discuss issues.
I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.
