Overall Neon Rain is where we first meet Louisiana police officer Dave Robicheaux. Well written crime thriller with colorful characters. Underworld characters are rough, but violence is described and used as necessary to tell the story. Might want to check out Dixie City Jam and Jolie's Blon Bounce (also Robicheaux series.
