Book Title: Murder in the Churchyard
Book Author: Catherine Coles
What do you like about this book:
Lord and Lady Northmoor are at it again. A man’s body with a slashed throat has been found in the churchyard. Practically everyone in the village qualifies as a suspect. An unusually large amount of snow has fallen on the village preventing anyone from being able to get in or out. That leaves Tommy and Evelyn to perform the investigation. They soon discover that it is not fun to think of one’s friends as potential murderers.
This is the third book in a series. It is set in England in the 1920s. It is a good cozy mystery that is easily read in one or two settings. It definitely has a Downton Abbey flair as have the two previous books in the series. I enjoyed reading it. The ending was a surprise for me. I had no clue who the murder was or why it was committed until revealed at the end. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series already.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good, clean cozy mystery and/or anyone who is a Downton Abbey fan.
