Summary
Overall Life Support is Lauren’s story and book three in the Grace Medical series. We met Lauren as a friend and coworker of Kate in Rescue Team. Lauren has always been trying to help her sister. She has feelings for Eli who her parents blame for some of her sister’s problems. Candace deals with ncomfortable issues such as mental illness, carry for someone who is disabled, and drug addiction in Life Support. In Life Support Lauren and her parents are in denial about her sister’s mental issues.
Eli and his family are at odds on how to treat his brother who has severe medical issues. It was a nice touch of irony to have the dog in therapy. Candace worked in the
ER which adds authenticity to her writing. She has engaging and emotional stories which always include more than one plot line. I highly recommend her books.
