My childhood crush ghosted me years ago. Now he’s back—living behind my cottage and working security on the wedding I’m planning.
Jack Michaels: The broody ex-Navy SEAL is grumpier and hotter than when he vanished from my life 15 years ago.
Now he’s living behind my cottage, assigned to help with the biggest wedding Willow Cove has seen. I try to avoid him—so of course we’re forced to team up.
We bicker over everything from bonfire prep to party decorations. When I slip, he still has the nerve to catch me like it’s his job.
Only somewhere between a quiet dinner and making a wedding arch, my big stupid heart starts to fall for him, again.
I can’t go there. Love just leaves you alone.
But when Jack looks at me like I’m his reason for staying, I start to wonder… maybe this time, love is here to stay.
Knot The Grump is a sweet small town romance, full of sizzling chemistry, without the spice and a guaranteed Happy Ever After.

Summary
Knot the Grump by Gianna Ward is a sweet romance with a small mystery that adds both emotional depth. While the story has plenty of tender moments, the mystery element was both surprising and heartfelt.
Adeline is busy preparing for the wedding of Andy and Marion when Jack—a friend of the groom—arrives to help with security and whatever else is needed. Jack hasn’t seen Adeline since he left their small town to join the Navy, and their reunion sets the stage for a gentle, meaningful romance. Ward creates several truly adorable moments between them that make their relationship feel sincere and engaging.
The mystical ledger was a charming addition to the story, adding a whimsical touch as it hints at whether couples are truly meant to be. A warm, enjoyable read with just the right balance of romance, mystery, and heart.
