Seven years ago, I was left at the altar. Yep, full gown, flowers, and mascara streaks for days. Since then, I’ve sworn off romance and thrown myself into something far more reliable—data. I built Dating by Design, the ultimate matchmaking service that combines my software smarts with a dash of human intuition. Love may be a disaster for me, but I’m really good at helping other people find it.
Enter Jason Hadley.
He’s one of our newest clients, and apparently, he won’t settle for anyone but me as his personal relationship manager. Which is fine . . . except he’s ridiculously kind, unfairly attractive, and keeps looking at me like I’m more than just the woman who sets up his dates. And here I am, supposed to be finding him the perfect match, while secretly wishing it could be me.
Dating Jason would risk everything—my business, my carefully guarded heart, and my dignity. But resisting him? That might be the biggest joke of all.
USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Peel delivers a laugh‑out‑loud, swoony workplace romance where meddling families, secret crushes, and forced proximity prove that sometimes love is the one thing you can’t manage.

Summary
Personal Relationship Manager by Jennifer Peel was an enjoyable and heartfelt read, largely because of Jason, who truly shines as the hero of the story. Kenadie was left at the altar years earlier and is still carrying the emotional fallout. In response, she’s poured her energy into creating a dating service designed to help others find lasting relationships, even as she struggles to fully heal herself.
Zander, her best friend and coworker at the company, plays a significant role in both her personal and professional life. While his presence is strong throughout the story, it also serves as a natural bridge to Jason, who is friends with Zander and eventually becomes Kenadie’s love interest.
Jason was my favorite part of the book. He’s patient, thoughtful, and refreshingly respectful of Kenadie’s boundaries. Knowing she wouldn’t agree to anything labeled a “date,” he finds creative, intentional ways to spend time with her, allowing trust and connection to develop naturally. His steady support and quiet determination made their romance especially meaningful.
The story also sets up Zander’s book in a way that piqued my curiosity, and I’m looking forward to reading his story next. A charming romance with a standout hero and plenty of heart.
