EVERY DAY THE SAME
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
UNTIL TODAY
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel goes to the police. But is she really as unreliable as they say? Soon she is deeply entangled not only in the investigation but in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?

Summary
This thriller is one of the best books I have read in a while. The story flows flawlessly and the intrigue grows with each chapter. Rachel takes the train into London each morning and as it passes the residential areas, she takes interest in certain houses and weaves a fantasy in her mind about the people who live there. One house in particular takes her fancy and as she sees the occupants outside on their patio, she imagines what their life must be like. She only sees them for a few seconds most days, but it is enough to make her feel like she knows them. Then one day she sees something at that house that will forever change her. She gets involved in the ensuing police investigation and in the lives of the people involved. But Rachel has her own secrets and these come to the surface as the story evolves. A real page turner and I can't hardly wait for the movie to come out.
