Summary
Endangered Heiress by Barbara Han is the second book in the Crisis: Cattle Barge series where we follow the investiagion of the murder of a wealthy oilman . This story is a woman who finds out that her life may have been a life and that she may be the daughter of the wealthy oilman. Many have been coming forward to say they were one of his children and the siblings are not thrilled at first with this new revelation.
She is also an investigative journalist and I will admit that I am not always a fan of that career. The author did an amazing job of showing the reasons why someone would want to choose that field. She was a likable character which is sometimes hard to pull off for a journalist.
Someone is out to scare her or kill her. There were plenty of suspects; someone who learned that she was an heiress, someone from one of her stories, or an ex-boyfriend.
I love the McKade series. The underlining story is that their billionaire father was murdered on their property. Throughout the series we are trying to find out why. Each story is about one of the siblings.
I am a huge fan of Barb Han and this book did not disappoint. I recommend it and the entire series.
