UNDER THE RANCHER’S PROTECTION
Someone is dead set on stopping Shelby Arroyo from doing her job: assessing mineral rights in a mine in gold country. But after rancher Barrett Thorn rescues her from an attack, the handsome widowed cowboy seems to feel responsible for her. That is, until he discovers she’s from the family that he’ll never forgive for his wife’s death. As the threats against Shelby escalate, cowboy honor and an unexpected attraction keep Barrett by her side, even at his own risk. And since Shelby won’t back down, Barrett must protect the brave, loyal woman he has no business falling for…a woman someone wants to kill by Christmas.

What do you like about this book:
"I don't care what the law says. If you step on my property again, I'll kill you."
It's obvious that someone is determined to avert Shelby Arroyo's intentions to assess her uncle's mineral rights, deep in heart of gold mining country. She has been trapped in the trunk of her own car, rescued from a ravine, locked inside a cave, threatened with bodily harm and that's just the beginning of her misfortune. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Shelby stumbles into the Thorn brothers' path, nimbly resurrecting grief in the eyes of the eldest son, Barrett Thorn, for it was Shelby's cousin who recklessly killed his beloved wife. Regardless of the bad memories, the magnetism between one headstrong cowboy and the lovely, stubborn assayer is too strong to ignore.
"Cowboy Christmas Guardian" is a great mixture of adventure and suspense, but it's the enemy of bitterness and regret that holds the tightest claim on the hearts of its heroes. Someone needs to bring a generous dose of "peace on earth, good will towards men" to this cowboy Christmas celebration; who will be first to offer the gift of forgiveness?
