Summary
Overall Congo by Michael Crichton 442 pages published in 1980 An expedition searching for diamonds in the tropical rain forest of the Congo They discover a legendary lost city of Zinj and it’s brutal guardians. When they are all killed the project supervisor sees a video transmission of the aftermath; their camp destroyed and bodies everywhere. They mount an expedition to try and rescue any survivors and to find out what happened to them. Amy, a guerrilla who has been taught to talk with a translation device comes along . An ok book that became an even more mediocre movie. Certainly not one of Crichton’s best but an ok read.
