Summary
Burning Proof by Janice Cantore is a ‘can’t put down’ sequel to Drawing Fire. Abby is still searching for answers to the murder of her parents. However in Burning Proof we have a couple subplots that are just as riveting. Abby has to deal with the aftermath of arresting a suspect that doesn’t go as planned. Luke, who we met in
Drawing Fire, is still searching for answer to his uncle’s murder which is tied to the death of Abby’s parents. Luke and W are delayed in their quest to work cold
cases with the FBI which works out well as they research a cold case for Faye Fallon, a crime blogger. I really liked Faye and hope she ends up in a future book. However I do not want her to end up with Luke. Abby and Luke are still drawn to each other (and in my humble opinion are meant to be together) but are fighting it since Abby is still engaged to her high school best friend, missionary, Ethan. Cantore needs to find another hero for Faye ???? . Burning Proof is loaded with smart, strong characters and
suspense with an underlining message of how firm is your foundation. PS. I loved the title and how it played out in the book.
