Summary
Caught in the violent crosshairs between two warring crime entities is not how Sarah Gallagher envisioned completing her medical missions term. Sharing the ordeal is former Navy SEAL Dominic Jett, Sarah's high school sweetheart, and the very person who brought trouble to her door when he delivered a wounded civilian to Sarah's medical clinic. It seems that the injured man has information that two people want, and neither will not allow anyone or anything to stand in their way of getting it.
Dominic Jett's life has been a series of failures; he couldn't protect his mother, his wild, unbridled behavior allowed Sarah to walk away, and an unfortunate accident recently ended his Navy career. He has no use for the kind of God that Sarah clings to, even prays to; her faith always has been, and apparently will continue to be, a stumbling block between them. But staring death in the face has a way of changing a man's perspective; but, will it change Jett's?
Get swept along the coasts of Mexico and California, as Dana Mentink continues her "Pacific Coast Private Eyes" series with an endearing story about two people who just want to stay alive long enough to dream about second chances.
