Summary
From: Carol Pennington
Book Title: A Time for Faith: A Single Dad Christian Romance Book Author: Leah Busboom What do you like about this book:
Noah and Rae got off to a pretty rough start. During their first encounter, Rae presents Noah with a pink slip for his daughter, Sophie. Seems Sophie had an altercation with another kindergartner over a crayon in Rae’s classroom. Noah probably would have handled it better if he hadn’t received a pink slip of his own that same morning and if the teacher had refrained from offering a bit of parenting advice along with the slip. Thankfully, they get a second chance, and things go much better during that encounter.
One of the things I love about this author is her amazing ability of portraying her characters. The characters she portrays are far from perfect, but she weaves the story so well that the reader grows to love them despite their flaws. In fact, she brings her characters to life so well that the reader feels as though they are old friends by the time the story comes to an end.
Another thing I love about Ms. Busboom’s writing is her very clever use of humor. She expertly places just the right amount of humor into the story to keep it light hearted, but no so much as to distract from the theme.
Finally, I love that Ms. Busboom writes romances that are clean! Her books are ones that I would never hesitate to recommend to friends or family regardless of the reader’s age. Her books are both wholesome and enjoyable.
I highly recommend this latest book written by Leah Busboom. I enjoyed it immensely and I am sure you will too.
