Judith McMonigle Flynn has her hands full running a bed and breakfast, caring for her cantankerous elderly mother, volunteering at her church, and worrying about her husband, who seems to be a suspect in the murder case he was working on.
She doesn’t need difficult guests, disappearing horses, or old and new crimes popping up all over the place. But that’s what she gets.
The story is so complicated that readers need to pay attention to keep track (and not every loose end gets tied up), but the twists and turns keep the plot moving.
Plenty of familiar characters from previous books in the Bed and Breakfast Mystery series turn up in this latest entry, as well as lots of interesting new people. Judith is the same kind, smart, down to earth heroine we’ve seen in earlier books.
