Description
The thrilling finale to the highly rated Regency romance series
Sir Bertrand Thorndike is on another mission—this one in the scientific community. But when a simple game of espionage becomes a murder investigation and Bertie’s friend Rhynwick Davies is the accused, Bertie enlists the help of his pseudo-fiancee Philippa Cashel to spare Rhynwick from the gallows.
Together, they delve into poisons, passions, and peril. With the true killer still on the loose, Bertie must balance proving Rhynwick’s innocence with his plans to persuade Philippa to make their false engagement real.
The final installment in the Of Cloaks & Daggers series from a New York Times best-selling author will be the biggest test yet of Bertie and Philippa’s skill and bravery—and of their love.

Summary
An Accusing at the Old Bailey is the third and final book in Erica Vetsch's Of Cloaks & Daggers series, and what a wonderful conclusion to a series I have thoroughly enjoyed.
One of my favorite parts of this series has been watching the relationship between Philippa and Bertie develop. I have loved seeing their friendship grow into something deeper over the course of three books. Their relationship has been such a highlight for me, and I was completely invested in their story.
And the mystery in this one was so well done! Erica Vetsch has a wonderful way of weaving together intriguing mysteries, memorable characters, and relationships that make you care about what happens next. This book certainly did not disappoint!
As I've mentioned in my reviews of the previous books, I absolutely love Erica's writing. She creates such wonderful secondary characters that I find myself wanting to spend more time with all of them. In fact, finishing this series has made me even more determined to go back and reread her previous two connected series so I can revisit some of those familiar faces and experience their stories all over again.
And one more thing, make sure you read the author's notes at the end! Don't skip them. You definitely don't want to miss what Erica shares after the story is over.
If you enjoy historical mysteries with a developing romance, wonderful characters, and stories that keep you turning the pages, I highly recommend this series. I would definitely suggest reading all three books in order so you can fully appreciate Philippa and Bertie's journey.
I'm sad to see this series end, but I am already anxiously awaiting Erica Vetsch's next one!
