Description

Book Review: Bookmarked for Love by Sarah Monzon
Bookmarked for Love by Sarah Monzon was a delightful read that gave me Sabrina vibes—the classic story where the overlooked girl finally gets noticed. It had all the charm, humor, and heart I was hoping for.
Although I believe this is part of a series, I had no trouble following the story. It works very well as a standalone, and I never felt like I was missing important background information. For fans of the series, make sure you read the epilogue.
One of my favorite parts of the story was the connection between the two main characters. They understood each other so well that they often knew exactly what the other was thinking, making their relationship feel natural and believable. Their chemistry was sweet, and I enjoyed watching their friendship grow into something more.
What impressed me most, however, was the way Sarah Monzon handled the heroine's healthy thoughts with her body image. It is one of the most thoughtful and realistic portrayals I've read on this topic. Rather than offering quick fixes, the story acknowledges those insecurities while providing practical, healthy perspectives that readers can apply in their own lives. I found it both encouraging and refreshing.
I also appreciated the maturity of the relationship. The characters faced difficult situations, but instead of relying on unnecessary drama or miscommunication, they worked through their challenges with honesty, grace, and respect for one another. That made their romance feel even more authentic.
If you enjoy contemporary romances with memorable characters, meaningful emotional growth, and a story that balances humor with heartfelt moments, Bookmarked for Love is one I would definitely recommend.
