Sydney is out for revenge no matter what it takes—including teaming up with a grumpy, retired cop who wants nothing to do with her.
West has retired from the police force. Completely burnt out, he doesn’t want to protect anyone anymore. All he wants is to be left alone so that he can refinish his new-to-him sailboat.
Unfortunately for him, a woman shows up asking for his help—needing his help.
He does the only thing he can.
And says no.
But that doesn’t seem to stop her from seeking him out when her plans for revenge go sideways and she’s now the target. He can’t just walk away and leave her to fend for herself.
Now he’s stuck with a cheerful, optimistic, vengeance-bent woman as a passenger on his sailboat.
West might not have been able to keep her off his boat, but he’ll surely be able to keep her out of his heart.
Maybe.
West of Port is a closed door romcom adventure! It contains mild language and suspenseful elements.

Summary
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review of West of Port by Carina Taylor
reviewed by Donna
I absolutely adored West of Port and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic comedies with adventure. Part of Carina Taylor’s Love and Treasure series, this book can be read as a standalone, though reading the series in order adds extra enjoyment thanks to familiar characters making appearances.
West is a former cop, an often shirtless grump, and exactly the kind of hero I love. Sydney is spunky, determined, and ready for both adventure and revenge. I truly appreciate how Taylor consistently creates strong, capable female characters, and Sydney is no exception. Seeking justice against the mafia for what they did to her father, Sydney enlists West’s technical expertise. Although reluctant to assist her at first; they end up making a great team.
This series is honestly one of the best I’ve ever read. I’ve read Rook to King and listened to the audiobook (more than once!), and West of Port stands right alongside it. The banter, chemistry, and adventure make these stories incredibly re-readable.
I’m eagerly looking forward to Crew’s story—and I’d happily read an entire series about Sydney’s brothers as well.
Content notes: mild danger, mild language, and kissing-only romance even with the forced proximity on the boat.
