Summary
I met Tara Grace Ericson at a reader conference, and after chatting with her, I immediately came home and started downloading her books on Kindle Unlimited. When she heard I was a fan of Jessica Ashley, Tara recommended that I begin with the Black Tower series—and I’m so glad I took her advice. She also mentioned that I would enjoy the Forge Brothers Security series by Kendra Walden, which I’ve now downloaded as well.
This short story is the perfect place to start, as it sets the foundation for the Black Tower world. Although it’s a quick read, it’s packed with nonstop suspense and just the right amount of romance. The intensity starts on page one and doesn’t let up until the final scene.
It also introduces the Syndicate, the major villainous force that will continue to play a central role in the series. A fast-paced, exciting beginning that left me eager to dive into the rest of the Black Tower books!
