Summary
This was my first book by Sara Davison—whom I had the pleasure of meeting at a reader conference this fall—and wow, what a fantastic introduction to her writing. I loved the main characters and the fast-paced chase that drives the story. Even though it’s a novella, it never once felt rushed; the plot is fully developed, and the emotional stakes land beautifully.
I also appreciated the deeper meaning behind the title once it was revealed—always such a satisfying moment as a reader. And be sure to read the Author’s Note at the end; it adds a meaningful layer to the story.
I’ll definitely be downloading more of Sara Davison’s books ASAP!
