Asher Rhodes grew out of his nerdy high school reputation to become a Navy SEAL and then a bodyguard for clients with plenty of money to secure their safety. When he receives the call for his next assignment Asher never expected to come face to face with his past; Cecilia Wright, even more beautiful than his memory.
Cici Wright had gotten herself into a bit of a pickle, to put it mildly. During the beginning stages of a jewelry appraisal, she ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Recognizing the priceless worth of one of the items in particular, and to whom it originally belonged, she had no time to think about the consequences as she fled the scene with the valuables, followed by some very dangerous men in hot pursuit. When Asher Rhodes shows up at the door of her hotel room announceing that he is there to ensure her safety, she can scarcely believe her eyes.
This story moves quickly from an awkward reunion into an amazing relationship, initially fraught with misunderstandings, misperceptions, and miscommunications, while being chased by an enemy largely unknown yet extremely capable.
