A Socialite in Disguise Seeks Truth and Justice
Henrietta “Etta” Maxwell is a hard-hitting investigative reporter for The Enterprise Daily. The catch? Etta must pen her columns under the nom de plume, Henry Mason—a fact that routinely puts a knot in her knickerbockers.
Leo Eriksson is a second-generation firefighter with a passion for rendering aid to those in need.
When Leo discovers that Henry Mason is really Henrietta Maxwell, the fire department’s wealthy benefactress, he agrees to keep her identity secret. After a sudden blast rocks the Grover Shoe Factory, Leo and Etta team up to determine if the explosion is related to a series of suspicious fires in the area.
When an unnamed source reveals Etta’s secret identity to a rival reporter, she falsely accuses Leo of being the informant. As the truth comes to light, Etta must persuade Leo to give her a second chance or lose the only man she’s ever loved

Summary
3.5 stars Review by Rebecca
"At five feet eleven inches, climbing trees was the only advantage she'd discovered for her unusual height."
She had literally fallen into his arms! Leo Eriksson was confused, the tree climbing young man introduced himself as Henry Mason, investigative journalist, but the false eyebrow hanging off his face indicated something else entirely. Actually the person was Henrietta Maxwell, heiress to a fortune, the lovely lady with whom Leo had shared one very memorable dance at the Fireman's Ball.
After explaining herself to the best of her ability and getting the handsome fireman's word that he would never reveal her true identity, Henrietta proceeds to probe Leo for what he might know about a series of suspicious fires in the district. As it turns out that investigation gets put on pause after a local shoe factory is destroyed by an horrific explosion. Meanwhile, the relationship between the heiress and the fireman heats up, only to be doused when Henrietta makes a false assumption.
A lovely, well-paced probe into an historical event while the corresponding search for love entails a level of trust and forgiveness that the Leo and Henrietta never expected to navigate.
