The Last Chance Cowboy by Jody Hedlund was the last book in the series. I totally enjoyed the book and I had not read any of the other books in the series. I am a new fan of Jody’s.
This was a prodigal son kind of story. Dylan had been the wild child of the family. He has now grown up and seen the errors in his old ways. He wants to prove to himself, his brothers and the towns people that he has changed.
When Catherine shows up with his son, he knows that will not help with his reputation and proving he has changed. Catherine is a mid wife and helped birth his son before the mom passed away.
I enjoyed the story and all of the towns people. The story showed Dylan’s struggles with wanting to do the right thing and that it would be a constant battle.
The story was well written and made me want to go back and read about each of the brothers.
