Summary
Body of Evidence by Irene Hannon had suspense, romance and touches of humor. Although this was the third and final book in the series it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. If you have been reading the series, you will be pleased to see Eve and Cate make appearances as the sisters are very close. Grace is the youngest sister and still trying to get out under her sisters’ overprotectiveness.
Grace is a Forensic pathologist in rural Missouri. (I loved that since I grew up in a rural town in Missouri.) Grace is finding some similarities in deaths of older people. Sheriff Nate is intrigued by what she is finding and by the woman herself. They were adorable as they start to get to know each other. I found these scenes adorable.
The mystery and suspense are what you come to expect from Hannon. She creates a cast of characters that are compelling even in their weaknesses. A subtle thread of forgiveness and second chances was woven through the secondary storylines.
