Megachurch pastor Allen Jackson invites readers on a 100-day adventure of experiencing God through ten biblical practices that will reignite their faith and transform their lives.
Many Christians experience low points in their faith, times when their spiritual lives have grown cold, stagnant, or routine. They feel frustrated and desperate to reconnect with God. Yet encouragement alone is not enough. We need God’s power to bring transformation, and we need specific tools and a focused intent to know the Lord. Drawing upon years of pastoral ministry and his own experience, Allen Jackson has developed a 100-day plan to reinvigorate a believer’s life, organized around ten declarations of intent, including:
- I Intend to Grow Spiritually,
- I Intend to Read the Gospels
- I Intend to Pray Daily
- I Intend to Honor God in My Home, and
- I Intend to Work with Integrity.
A simple investment of twenty minutes a day will create an unstoppable momentum in readers’ lives. Their hearts are opened to new possibilities with God where his purposes unfold and where the fruit of his rewards are found.

The New Testament is full of stories of people who have encounter Jesus and were forever changed. The same can happen to us if we will consistently read the Bible.
He asked that we journal the hundred day journey. And part of it is so you can see that the incremental changes day by day make an impact on your life in the end. So many of us want to see dramatic changes super fast.
I really enjoyed the section where he talks about the different Gospels and how each one was written by a different person and how that person approached Jesus’ life in the book that they wrote.
He also asked us to look at prayer differently. As a conversation with God and not a conversation to God. As were reading the Bible and going through the hundred day journey. He asked us to notice all the prayers that Jesus prayed. In the back of the book he includes a section on prayers for each of the 10 areas. And also a reading plan for the hundred days so that you can read the entire New Testament.
Offer a simple prayer as you come home from work. God, may you be glorified in my home tonight and may I live with integrity.
Another short but powerful prayer he shares. When you begin each workday; God, help me to work as if I’m working for you today.
When they asked Jesus who’s the most important one in the kingdom and he puts a child on his lap and he says if anyone causes one of these little ones to stumble it would be better for them to have a rock around the neck and be drowned. He points out that that child was not his own. Jesus wasn’t limiting the responsibility of teaching the younger generation to those with children. (Page 97).
Prayers for the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit guide me into the best path and give me your wisdom. Holy Spirit, I welcome you into my life today (P133)
