Summary
Fairchild’s Lady by Roseanna M White is a novella with a beautiful romance. I didn’t realize that it is set between the Ring of Secrets series and Whispers from the Shadows when I started reading it.
I don’t know how Rosanna does it but she creates characters that you fall in love with. Julienne is in a bad situation and not unique to this time frame is set to marry but not for love. Even before meeting the stranger at the masquerade ball she was trying to figure out a way out.
Isaac has been asked to bring Julienne and her mother back to France which will be hard to do for more than one reason. He has to convince her mother to go and he has to get Julienne away from her fiancé.
The author creates beautiful scenes of their feelings for each other while still keeping the novel clean. You want them to find a way to be together.
