Summary
30 Days of Hope When Caring for Aging Parents by Kathy Howard. You can tell from the introduction that Kathy is speaking and writing from a place of having been in the trenches with you.
Each chapter is short because she knows you are busy and overwhelmed. She includes scripture, real life experiences, questions and prayer prompts. The prayer prompts alone would make a great book to pray for ourselves and our parents as we care for them. Truly the prayers alone are worth the purchase of the book. Kathy’s prayers are honest communication and requests to God.
The book contains practice chapters on being adaptable to changes. In addition, it includes emotional chapters about losing your parents before their gone or knowing when you need to take care of yourself and when you need to lay your needs aside.
