When I learned that Jodi Vaughn lived in Northeast Arkansas, I felt a kinship to her and knew I wanted to interview her.  Neither of us was raised in Arkansas but found ourselves transplanted here.

Jodi is a bestselling author and one of her hit series is Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves.  She writes contemporary, paranormal, and urban romance.  I read Saddle Up with is one of her contemporary romances.

Jodi writes with other authors and shares the advantages of writing with others.  You can purchase one of their book bundles on Amazon for free in the Somewhere, Texas series.

Having just returned from of a 3200 mile motorcycle ride with her husband, she said she came back refreshed and inspired.  In addition, she found a small isolated town that will be used in her next book.  Hard for many of us to imagine, but she spent 2 weeks without her computer.

By the Light of the Moon is the book she would recommend if you are new to her writing.  It was this book that she was nominated for her first book award. By the Light of the Moon is currently only $2.99 on Amazon.

It was touching when Jodi shares her first experience at Romance Writers Convention (RWA).  At this conference is where she felt that she had found her tribe. In addition, she recommends joining your local RWA for support if you are a new author or an aspiring author.

I found it humorous when she talked about her mom reading her books.
