Jenn Stark writes under three names and has three brands. For this reason, I asked Jenn if she would discuss writing under multiple names with us in a little more detail. First, Jennifer McGowan writes young adult spy romances. Maid of Secrets was her very first published book. Secondly, she writes as Jenn Stark an urban fantasy series that already has 10 books published. Finally, she writes sweeping romance in the Gowns and Crowns series as Jennifer Chance. In this series, American women go on vacation and get entangled with the royal family. On a side note, I bought all four of these before I left the conference. Although you can download the first one for free on Amazon.
Surprisingly, Jenn was an Elizabithean scholar. It was fascinating to listen to her talk about Queen Elizabeth and how she started her YA series. She is extremely knowledgeable about Queen Elizabeth and makes her seem like such an interesting woman; not just a historical figure.
Most notably, after having worked in the corporate world, Jennifer is currently making a living writing. As a result, we asked her to share some tips for aspiring writers.
