Summary
Texas Witness by Barbara Han continues the series of the O'Brien brothers in Texas. The underlying story throughout the series has been the fact that their parents were murdered and we still don't know why. Texas Witness is Colen’s story. His girlfriend had left him to marry someone else and he never understood why. It's one of those child out of wedlock stories. Barbara created a realistic reason as to why she left him. In addition, realistic reasons why Collin was upset that she didn't trust him enough to tell him what was happening. A few of the other O'Brien brothers make an appearance. This book may have balanced a little bit more on the side of drama and Melissa revealing her past bit by bit versus the action adventure than a few of the other books in the series. I liked Melissa even though I probably sided with Collin more often than her The family had enough resources they could have helped her but she was young so I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. Very nice job of showing instead of telling as Collin starts to understand what Melissa’s life had been like for the last year. You cannot help but like the fact that the O'Brien brothers have a lot of resources at their disposal. They make great heroes.
Sexual content. There's only a couple scenes not a lot of detail even though there are scenes of them thinking about the past. And their sexual feelings toward each other. Violence -there are some people to get shot someone dies and you understand that Richard is not a nice person and has done bad things.
