Summary
From: Rebecca Maney
Book Title: Grace and the Preacher
Book Author: Kim Vogel Sawyer
What do you like about this book:
"Ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sins will find you out."
It had seemed like a good idea. On the run from his vengeful cousins, Theophil Garrison made a split second decision, he "became" the much anticipated new preacher, Reverend Rufus Dille, whom everyone in the small town of Fairland, Kansas had been anticipating, including the lovely postmistress, Grace Cristler. Somehow it had escaped Theo's thinking that he would actually have to pray, lead worship, and deliver sermons.
Something about the new preacher seems a little "off" to Grace, having corresponded with him for so many months, she cannot merge the man in her letters with the man in her midst. As "Rufus" becomes more comfortable with his job description and the congregants that he is serving, her concerns seem misplaced; besides, her feelings for the handsome young minister are deepening by the day, aren't they?
Enjoy this sweet story of amazing grace!
