Summers Breeze is a beautiful little town in the midst of a feral land. Perfect picket fences border the lovely tree-lined streets. The townspeople are friendly. The Summers family is welcoming.
But beneath the perfection lurks the shadow of a nefarious past. When the truth comes out, as it is wont to do, will the secrets strengthen the bonds of the newlyweds, or tear them irrevocably apart?

Summary
Three sisters are sent away from the only home they've known by their unloving mother. Nervous about their future but hopeful, the trio arrive at Summer Breeze Missouri to meet their husbands-to-be. Will they find happiness or does danger lurk in this too good to be true town?
The story starts off jumping right into the plot with Bernadette announcing that her daughters are leaving. We are given a great deal of back story in that first chapter, about Bernadette's past and the way she's raised her children. In a story as short as this, a mere ten thousand words, its understandable that we are told so much information from the start.
As to the main characters, we don't have much time to know them, given the shortness of the tale. They're each sweet in their own way, and we are told their matches are perfect for them. A brief threat of a 'Summer's Curse' adds a layer of suspense.
With this kind of story, it would have benefited from a longer telling, giving us more time to know each sister. There is a reliance on adverbs when the author could have shown us more. I also would have liked a little more historical detail to set the scenes.
Overall, this is a sweet, inspirational tale that I would recommend to readers who are looking for a historical novella.
