Thomas and Theresa Hammonds believe in tough love and old-fashioned discipline. They do not believe in doctors. When their controversial beliefs lead to personal tragedy, the Hammonds face heartbreaking loss, a crisis of faith—and a charge of negligent homicide by a relentless prosecutor. Defending Thomas and Theresa is freewheeling lawyer Charles Arnold. He believes in grace and mercy, but nothing in his colorful past has prepared him for the challenges of this shocking case, or for the dangerous conspiracy at its heart.

Summary
From: Isaac
Book Title: Dying Declaration
Book Author: Randy Singer
What do you like about this book:
Campared to his other novels, Dying Declaration did fall short of my expectations. Throughout the book, I was constantly wondering if I agreed with what the protagonists were seeking to accomplish, and I still am uncertain. Plus, tugging the unsettling spew of content along with the story, Singer makes this a book I would not recommend.
Sexual Content: Nikki wears what is described as "small bikinis" while trying to intensify her tan. She basically searches for moments to display as much skin as possible, flashing a seductive eye on any single juror. While in an interview, the son describes how his loving father would lay with him at night when he was frightened. This is misunderstood by the interviewers as an act of sexual abuse. At a party, drunk, Nikki's date persistently asks to take her home with him. She refuses.
Violence: Two or three jail fights break out among cell mates. Their punches often draw blood. A woman has an abortion using an illegal drug. A inmate is almost crushed beneath a bench press bar.
Language: Nikki curses indistinctly under her breath. The kid asks what she said, in which she replies that she said "witch", implying that she used "b--ch".
Drug/Alcohol: A man is arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. As I stated before, a woman uses an illegal drug.
I also would like to state that racial tension involved throughout the story, in fact, most of the fights inside the jail involves racial conflict.
