Summary
Rachel, with the help of her in and out of love business partner, is running a successful tutoring company. When her first and lost love appears out of the blue, asking for her help with his son, she accepts, though her mind warns her to be cautious. Will love win out or will the pressure of having successful careers force these two apart once again.
This is a sweet and fast read. Rachel is a strong main character, even though I felt like she fell for Jonathan faster than I would have expected. It was nice that the focus of the story was on her.
Jonathan was an alright hero. Because we stayed with Rachel for most of the story, I don't think I saw him enough to really know whether I liked him or not. Occasionally, the narrative switched to his perspective and thought, but this is done sparingly. This made the change jarring and didn't help understand him much.
The storyline is entertaining, if a bit predictable. The inspirational aspects are done with a light hand.
For readers who enjoy a contemporary tale with a little inspiration thrown in, you won't go wrong with this novel.
